RF Development Engineer

In this position, the candidate will be responsible for the detailed specification and design of reference dual mode GSM/WCDMA radio module designs for 3G wireless terminals and the specification of the RF to Baseband and Power management interfaces for ’s 3G platform. The radios will need to be tested and integrated with ’s 3G Baseband and Protocol stack to ensure full conformity with 3GPP approvals requirements.
The profile of the ideal candidate would have the following characteristics:
Experience of using market leading RF solutions for GSM and/or 3G terminals
Detailed knowledge of GSM/WCDMA RF system requirements
Detailed experience in RF performance modelling and testing
Experience of RF integration and the type approval process
PCB design experience
RF system calibration and production
Customer support
Candidates should have an excellent academic background (at least a 2:1 degree from a top-tier university) and at least 3 – 5 years experience. They should also be highly motivated and excited by the prospect of working in a fast-paced startup environment.
