Site Description:


Our Centre of Excellence in Southampton, England designs the IC ‘s on silicon and software systems that are found at the very heart of many of today’s high performance digital audio, CD/DVD, and television systems.
Now, we are developing tomorrow’s innovations and need talented people with a passion for what they do and a strong desire to succeed.






Essential/Key Areas of Responsibility:


To construct a internal website for the SDK information and data sheets.
The website would provide a portal for SDK information including data sheets, application notes, PCB data and S/W applications notes. The website would also include a section on SDK updates.
If time permits the website would be extended to include SDK project documentation available to registered users.
The website should use the standard website template and tools currently used by Semiconductors. Users of the website should be allowed to view all data on the SDK website, but if they wish to download any information they first must be register.
Log will be keep of the uses of the website and these can be used to automatically build Statistics and User reports.
The SDK website should have the following features: -
- Automatically build (using CGI or other scripting languages) website content from a larger SDK database of documentation.
- Automatic registration system for new uses of the SDK data.
- Log all downloads of SDK information
- Auto generation of statistics, which would include user name, downloaded items and date
-Use the Standard Website tools and framework






Essential/Job Requirements:


Experience in website development which would include CGI scripting, Perl for CGI and HTML.
The student should be able to perform most of the above tasks with minimal supervision. Regular project status reports will be required to monitor the progress of the student and highlight any issues.
