Reliability Engineer

Essential/Key Areas of Responsibility:


Working with members of the industrial and design departments the reliability engineer will ensure that the products that he is responsible meet the required reliability standards. The reliability engineer has the following responsibilities:In the design phase - Produce a reliability strategy after conducting a risk analysis on the proposed product.Review of the products ESD and Latch-up protection structures. Design of any lifetest hardware required In the qualification phaseManage the reliability stress tests planned Analysis of any failures found during lifetest.Recommend the suitability of the product reliability for the intended market.In the production Phase.Specify any required qualification tests when manufacturing processes change.Assist in the evaluation of manufacturing non-conformance issuesInfrastructureEnsure reliability laboratories used meet industry requirements.Assist in the specification and maintenance of reliability equipment






Essential/Job Requirements:


Essential:Technical knowledge / experience ? familiarity with integrated circuit manufacturing and packaging technology, and some knowledge of semiconductor physicsTeam worker with strong influencing skills and good problem solving abilities.Personality traits ? strong team player, self starter, able to set and manage own priorities, communicate well with engineers of all disciplinesDesirable:Education ? to degree standard in Electronic Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or ChemistryIndustrial experience An appreciation of digital and analogue design in CMOS technology.Personality traits Able to demonstrate willingness to become familiar with and support activities of colleagues above and beyond own direct area of responsibility (linked teams).Career Aspirations ? looking for career within Technical Operations and / or Industrial organizations
