Test Engineer

Generate, verify and validate test patterns for the ATE systems.
- Work in Unix environment on PC.
- Generating and Simulating test vectors using in-house CAT Tools, Cadence NC Tools and VHDL.
- Designing ATE test hardware and creating ATE test programs.
- Drive improvement to optimise the Test Development activities.
Define and develop new test strategies.
- Define the test strategy for new device types to fulfil the required quality, cost and reliability expectations.
- Develop new test strategies to improve the current test strategies.
- Fulfil active role in the project creation process.
Oversee production support.
- Where necessary, travel to Europe or the Far East to install the production flow and/or support production.






Essential/Job Requirements:


Degree in Electronic engineering or Computer science.
More than 2 years experience in a Design-for-Test environment.
Experience and knowledge of the following: -
- Simulation and test pattern generation for structural digital test.
- Design-for-Test methodologies ? BIST, Scan Test, Test Control Blocks, Clock Control Blocks, Delay Fault Test, IDDQ.
- IEEE1149.1 Boundary Scan applications
- ATE Test Systems ? Teradyne, Credence, Agilent an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
- Has been responsible for the test strategy definition on several projects.
- Unix programming knowledge.
Clear communication skills, able to represent Test Engineering in: -
- Cross-functional teams influencing the design and project management communities on Design-for-Test implementation within a project.
- Both external and internal Test User meetings.
- Both external and internal customer meetings.
Team Player, able to work closely with: -
- Fellow test engineers within the group to develop existing skill sets.
- Provide support to product engineering during production release phases of projects.
- Interface with worldwide Innovation Centres? engineers on all aspects of test development.
