Assistant Manager - Transmission Protection Design & Settings

Qualification: B.E (Electrical Engineering)


Minimum 10-12 years in Power utility in a similar position. Responsible for management of protection team, ensure protection settings are produced on time for running projects, develop and implement best work practices to ensure optimum Transmission/Distribution system security and reliability. Maintain high quality working environment, supervising staff in system protection related activities. Manage individual performance of protection staff including performance review, maintaining job profiles, staff development and handling work performance. Manpower planning and budgeting for the section. Able to provide technical leadership and assistance to staff and others in the organisation oh high level protection and power system issues. Should be capable to supervise and lead a team of protection engineers. Shall have experience in protection Simulation software PSSE, CAPE or equivalent. Shall have excellent verbal skills and high level technical report writing skills. Should be able to develop and train Protection Engineers on a range of Transmission and distribution protection issues. Shall have excellent power system theoretical knowledge. Should be capable to plan and coordinate protection related activities within the section as well as within external departments. Proven capability in managing data and documentation associated with all protection related and related power system equipment. Shall have a dedicated and professional work ethic and work well within a team environment.
