Marine Manager (corrosion control)
friendlypeople is currently recruiting for a talented and experienced Marine Manager to work within one of the world leaders in surface preparation and coating activities both offshore and onshore. Our client provides turnkey at sea/offshore and on land corrosion control and cleaning work on all types of vessels, rigs, platforms and structures.
The Technical Manager will work within the technical team and take responsibility for the offshore operations, focusing on Rigs and Platforms (FPSO) worldwide.
Key Responsibilities will include the following:
• Maintain overview of project activities to ensure best practice in the field of Offshore.
• Review manpower demands and training requirements to ensure maximum utilisation and potential of personnel, both for the short term and long term needs.
• Ensure Health & Safety is paramount.
• Provide timely technical advice and guidance to all projects.
• Liaise with Management and teams to maintain a company wide level of technical awareness.
• Endeavour to develop innovative solutions.
• Cascade technical information when appropriate.
• Cultivate and develop good customer relations.
• Ensure that all client expectations are delivered.
• Follow up customer technical enquiries and demands promptly.
• Identify and react to shortfalls in customer service, act as mentor in the process of staff development and assist with production of suitable training plans where required.
• Develop personal and company technical knowledge by review of industry/ literature/equipment, and attendance at seminars and conferences.
• Maintain awareness of company business needs, providing, in conjunction with others, necessary and appropriate marketing to generate sales.
• Working within Technical department responsible to Director level.
