Independent Financial Advisor

Our client a busy, city based firm of IFA’s, requires an IFA to help expand their relatively small base of advisors. The firm have established a very good reputation and have forged excellent relationships with many specialist organisations to provide comprehensive solutions for their clients. The experience in the financial services of the individual partners ranges from eight to twenty five years. The company ethos is to work as a partnership and ensure that each client receives advice from the most appropriate member of the team. Our clients reputation for quality is achieved by continuous education, excellent service standards and the use of the latest technology.

The role requires a numerate and articulate individual who is highly organised with good PC skills, confident telephone manner and good communication skills at all levels. The candidate, ideally, should come with 3-5 years experience. Someone with a Fees background may be particularly welcome as the company offers a Fee or Commission option to all clients. In addition to this the company tries to encompass a Financial Planning approach with all clients to coin a phrase "Holistic Financial Planning".

All the essential IFA functions are expected. We seek a candidate with full FPC equivalents, ideally progressing AFPC Equivalents (with G60 or equivalent attained - not mandatory but useful), strong technical knowledge to include tax and pensions and a flexible and mature work ethic and having gained a number of years experience at this level. This role will be supported by our team of Para Planners / Sales Support staff who will, amongst other duties, be responsible for Suitability Report construction.

Individuals need to prove business writing capability of at least £100k PA for the last 3 years obviously in employed environments the measure may be different but some correlation to gross brokerage. Some leads are provided by our IFA appointment making team but the majority of business is expected to be produced / sourced by the individual.

Salary: £25-40k basic
Benefits: Pension match up to 3% of Contribution after 3 months / Death In Service = 4 x salary / 20 days Holiday as standard) 3 Times Validation required. Bonus on excess of validation - negotiable.

Hours: 8.30 am to 5.00 p.m.
