Scrub Nurse
Medacs Healthcare are currently looking to recruit for experienced Scrub Nurses for a number of NHS and privately run hospitals in London.
You will contribute to the day-to-day running of the operating theatre suite, ensuring the provision of the highest standards of care and services in keeping with the philosophies of the hospital and department, NMC Code of Conduct and the hospital policies and protocols.
The successful candidate will form part of an already established team, and will be expected to provide and maintain a high quality service.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Nursing degree
Post registration qualification in clinical specialism
Working towards a clinical degree
Experience in a mixed speciality theatre in more than one area e.g Orthopaedics, ENT, Neurology, Obs & Gynae, General surgery to name a few.
Specialist theatre practitioner desirable.
Advanced Scrub Practitioner course desirable.
ILS desirable
Working as a perioperative practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams
Applying the knowledge and skills gained through a post registration qualification in a clinical specialism
Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes
Challenging consultants to influence evidence based practice
Share evidence based practices with colleagues to enhance service and standards
Up to date knowledge of surgical and aseptic technique principles.
Familiar with clinical governance activities.
Enthusiastic, motivated, professional, flexible and adaptable.
Competence across a range of perioperative skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration and further education and development.
Possess the mandatory training requirements for the role including infection control and health and safety competencies.
Possess Equipment and Medical Devices Competences
Continuing professional development.
Trained on MS Office and other relevant packages
Demonstrate principles of accountable practice
Teaching skills desirable
Keeps abreast of developments in own specialism
Professional assessment skills
Auditing skills across clinical standards and departments
Willing to participate in flexible working pattern
