CARAT Worker – East Midlands

Essential experience for this role is prior knowledge of substance misuse. Previous experience in counselling, offender assessments and substance management is also desirable. The ability to work under your own initiative is fundamental to this role whilst knowledge of the Prison Service and PSO 3630 would be an advantage. You will need to work effectively with other agencies in delivering HMP drug services including the integrated drug treatment scheme.

As a CARAT Worker your day to day the role will involve ongoing assessments of both Drug and Alcohol clients working within the Prison Service HMPS and developing the case management of each client on an individual basis. You will be responsible for a small case load working with the Drug team. The current position of CARAT workers in the UK presents a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to develop further Drug and Alcohol awareness in the Criminal Justice System.
