The Water Industry Forum (WIF) supports the water and waste water industry supply chain in Yorkshire and Humber through a vibrant regional network. With more than 100 member organisations, WIF promotes trading, networking and transfer of product, process and regulatory information to enable experiences to be shared, problems solved and the needs for innovation identified. Funded by Yorkshire Forward; WIF helps companies find the support they need for exporting to new markets, developing new products and finding new contract opportunities.

Reporting to the recently appointed Project Director, the role will carry responsibility to help grow and improve the competitiveness of regional companies in the water industry supply chain. With a focus on the development, implementation and delivery of new member services, the role will also include undertaking research into target markets/member needs, the building of strong private, public and academic sector partnerships, developing and managing events and the planning of marketing activity.

Candidates, ideally qualified to degree level, will have a track record of project delivery including the development of new products/services in commercial and customer-focused environments. They will be also able to demonstrate a broad knowledge and understanding of the water industry, the ability to motivate and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders and good IT systems awareness. The role will appeal to a ‘self-starter’ seeking to make a real difference and will offer an increasingly higher profile and scope for personal development as success is delivered.
