Metals Trainer, GC 11
Position Description
Responsible as an exemplary trainer for instructing employees and trainers in skills, techniques, methods and procedures in metals training. Instructs Saudi Arab employees and apprentices (trainees) in classrooms, shops, and at jobsites when required. Makes recommendations and provides suggestions on course contents and training aids.
Selection Criteria
The trainer will instruct at all levels within his expertise and serve as an advisor to other instructors. Occasionally, he may be required to teach high level technical courses at the discretion of the area Job Skills Superintendent. The trainer is expected to serve as a subject matter expert and Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) team member during the development of curricula in his area of expertise.
Works as a team member and advises Industrial Skills Trainers/Instructors I & II regarding effective training techniques.
Minimum Requirements
A1. Bachelor's Degree (Industrial/Vocational Education or in some cases Engineering/Science) plus four (4) years Industrial experience or as a trainer in industrial or vocational skills,
OR
A2. Expatriates must have a high school or equivalent certificate) plus eleven (11) years experience, including a minimum of one (1) year field assignment in the skill to be taught.
B. Valid Driver’s License
C. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is desirable.
