To be ultimately responsible for the satisfactory performance and financial outcome of their contracts through their own ability and the management of project personnel. Addressing, resolving and reporting on all contractual issues that may arise in the course of these projects.

THE MAIN TASKS WILL INCLUDE

To monitor job costing system to ensure that the following are correct: Job status, actual and committed costs, sales value.

To accurately monitor expected performance and return on all projects, compare with budget and report to seniors at regular intervals.

To manage the project team and all elements of the project to ensure effectiveness.

Chair all internal project meetings and prepare accurate and true minutes.

Ensure progress is maintained in accordance with programme and report on same.

To manage/monitor and ensure performance of CAD team.

To organise and manage the material procurement and sub-contractor purchases.

Assist in the preparation of management reports.

Provide accurate financial statements and project reports.

Ensure cost is minimised and recovery maximised hence improve profitability.

Communicate to all parties providing the level of information required.

Ensure health, safety and environment regulations are adhered to.

Ensure the companies QA procedures are adhered to.

Aid in the development of subordinates.

THE PERSON WE SEEK WOULD REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE

At least 2 years experience as Project Manager/Leader of multimillion pound projects within a contracting environment.

Stable employment pattern.

Experience in all aspects of leading a team of people within a construction industry context.

Extensive experience in managing and reporting all aspects of a project.

Possesses NVQ Level 4 or 5 or OND/C or HND/C in a Surveying/Commercial type course or suitable vocational experience.
