Innovative and dynamic, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Trust is an excellent all-round performer with 3-star status and a reputation for providing consistently high-quality, patient-centred care. Through our two district general hospitals the University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton and the University Hospital of Hartlepool we provide acute services to the 400,000 people living in Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool, East Durham and Sedgefield. Outpatients services are also provided through our Community Hospital in Peterlee. Our determination to raise standards further, develop our staff and work even more closely with the local community has been underlined by our application to become one of the first Foundation Trusts in the UK. Our aim is to provide high quality clinical care and community services from first class facilities. To do this it is crucial that we recruit, retain and motivate high quality staff and we are committed to supporting our staff in every way we can to ensure they have the skills, knowledge and expertise they need to provide their best. We are determined to provide excellent training and education and are exploring more flexible ways of working through family-friendly initiatives and healthy workforce schemes. But, just as importantly, we believe that working relationships should be grounded in values that promote respect and consideration for others in a high performance environment. These `People First` values are practised throughout the Trust and make for a positive and enabling working environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative Physiotherapist who has a particular interest in continuing to develop the provision of physiotherapy to elderly inpatients with a need for rehabilitation.
You will have experience of working in a rehabilitation ward environment and will ideally have taken part in the rehabilitation of vascular surgery patients, as there is the possibility that these patients will be admitted to the ward in the future.
You will be part of the In-Patient Physiotherapy Team led by a Physiotherapy Team Leader.
We actively support Appraisal, Continuing Professional Development and In-Service Training.
Physiotherapy students from a number of local universities are seconded to Hartlepool.
