WYG International, part of White Young Green plc, is an international management consultancy with offices in Belgium, Poland, Romania, Russia, South Africa and Turkey and projects in over 34 countries. Applications are invited for the post of Management Accountant, which has arisen at its headquarters on Sherwood Business Park at Annesley, just off Junction 27 of the M1.

Role

The Management Accountant will provide accounting support to the company’s Financial Controller and Regional Accountants, as well as taking responsibility for the administration of a number of specific contracts.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

 Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
 Reconciling purchase ledger and bank accounts
 Supervising inter-office and inter-company transactions and balances
 Maintaining associates and sub-contractors files for projects.
 Checking and inputting project timesheets.
 Processing project invoices and expense claims.
 Producing periodic claims invoices to clients, fully supported by full back-up reconciled to the management accounting system.
 Assisting in external project audits.
 Assisting the Regional Accountants in the production of quarterly project outturns.
 Liaising with overseas project co-ordinators.
 Providing general assistance to the Financial Controller and Financial Director and other ad hoc duties within the finance department.


Relevant qualifications, skills and experience

Skills
• Excellent computing skills, including Excel (good skills in Word would be useful)
• Knowledge of the Agresso management accounts software an advantage
• Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail

Qualifications
• Successful completion of CIMA/ACCA level 1, studying for intermediate level - essential.

Experience:
• At least 2-3 years experience in a Management Accounting role
• Priority will be given to candidates with previous exposure to project management, management of ‘work in progress’, EU contracts and foreign currency transactions (the company operates Euro accounts)

References will be a requirement and all candidates invited for interview will be expected to demonstrate their accounting skills/knowledge in the form of a short test.
