Role

The successful applicant will be part of a busy team that provides both day-to-day and long-term marketing development solutions for the company. The role will include helping to maintain and develop the company intranet and websites, producing company documentation and multimedia presentations and conducting research to assist with future new media marketing developments. This role also involves providing internal training.

Key Competencies
You will be required to juggle several tasks with accuracy and efficiency and to work well under pressure. We are looking for an individual with a genuine interest in new media. You will work on short term tasks as well as larger projects from concept through to delivery.

Essential skills:

• XHTML/HTML/CSS based web design

• Sound knowledge and experience of Dreamweaver

• Experience of working with relational databases

• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and experienced in using the Internet

Desirable skills:

• Understanding of Javascript

• Knowledge of PHP/My SQL

• Familiarity with SEO and online marketing techniques

• Familiarity with accessibility

• Knowledge/and or experience of Intranet development using Lotus Notes/Domino/Designer would be a distinct advantage


Qualifications:
• New media/Multimedia-related degree

Personal Qualities:
• The ideal candidate will be a personable team-player with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude and an approachable disposition

Experience
• At least 1 year’s work experience within a new media/multimedia environment is preferred.
