Our Client, based in the Mid Glamorgan area is looking for a Business Unit Manager to join their organisation. Working as part of the retail store senior management team, you will contribute to the general running of the store. Your personal objective will be to implement the Company business and strategic plan across the departments under your control within the store. Taking day to day responsibility for one department, you will utilise your department heads to oversee the other departments. It is important to stress that your primary role is still the running of your own department. Helping to develop annual business unit sales, salary and cost budgets. Communicating and allocating sales targets, managing departmental performance to ensure that overall sales, costs and profit targets are achieved or exceeded. Implementing salary controls to comply with both departmental salary budgets and agreed wages to sales ratios Maintaining stock shrinkage within the targeted levels for each department Managing Staff rotas Resolve all customer complaints in a swift and professional manner Maintaining excellent standards of housekeeping at all times
