Job description
Our client is a large and very busy council in the North West London area. They require a Building Surveyor to join their Environmental Services Department. Your duties will include The process and scrutiny of Building Regulation applications, Inspection of Building Works, The provision of general building control advice, checking estimates, building costs, assessing plan and inspection charges and advising applicants of the Building Regulations and Building Acts. You will have at least 2 years experience working in a Building Control Office including experience of checking applications and carrying out site inspections with limited supervision or Alternatively no experience with a relevant qualification, such as BTEC National, ABE, RICS or equivalent. You must also have knowledge of the relevant legislation including Health & Safety, knowledge of and familiarity with the computerised application process system and you must have you own car.
