Responsibilities: § Reporting to Production Engineering Leader. § Developing the efficiency of manufacturing in a fast moving automotive plastic moulding company. § Taking responsibility for “lean” considerations for a product lifespan; enquiry to handover, DFM design for manufacture contribution etc. § Wider view projects including floor layout, operator efficiency, OEE, and running projects under kaisen or six-sigma umbrella’s. Experience & Skills: § 2-3 years experience of lean and improvement engineering in a modern manufacturing environment. § Engineering qualification, probably degree, in a production related discipline. Salary & Package: § Up to £35,000 for a person with Six-Sigma Black Belt and experience of first tier plastic moulding. § £26,000 to £30,000 for a person with 2–3 years lean manufacturing experience.
