DESCRIPTION:
Location: Lancashire Basis: Permanent Ref: IY-EPR035987D Company Overview: Market leaders with worldwide sales, in-house design and an established market presence. The company’s current objectives include developing the manufacturing facility in line with continuous improvement modern production engineering methodologies. Responsibilities: § Developing production-engineering processes to increase efficiency, improve product reliability, reduce waste and reduce costs. § This role will become increasingly project-based and will vary from tool, jig and machine based improvement projects to the leadership of Kaisen and continuous improvement events. Experience & Skills: § Qualified Mechanical Engineer (Apprentice or Degree) with three years post qualification experience in a CNC and / or metal forming environment. § Knowledge of formal process-improvement techniques (SMED, SOP’s, shop floor layout, work flow patterns, process flow, TPM, OEE, Kaisen, lean etc) and / or automotive industry production techniques (PPAP, APQP). § Jig and tooling development will be an advantage. Salary & Package: £20,000 to £28,000 plus pension
