Overview
Our client who are based in Hertfordshire are now looking for an experienced Inventory Process Controller/Stock Controller ideally from an electronics/electro-mechanical background with strong experience within supply chain/planning/stock control and inventory. Primary role is providing the supply chain organisation with a focal point for Inventory Control and Management for all production based materials and processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible of all inventory and process controls (within manufacturing)
To review all material handling processes and inventory movement within manufacturing, Drive improvement and reduce waste
Review all Kanban and inventory locations to ensure correct use and recommend improvement and changes
When required carry out spot checks on WIP inventory located in production areas
Drive and implement changes for all inventory control processes and procedures for manufacturing areas.
Collection, preparation and dissemination of inventory data and statistics including the maintenance of KPIs to measure progress
Be familiar with lot traceability and serial number tracking as part of the overall audit process
Overall control and approval of all stock and cycle count adjustments both planned and unplanned and ensure appropriate investigations are carried out
Review stores to live kitting process and implement improvements eg spot checking of kit counts and issues
Regularly review shop order control within manufacturing, suggest and recommend improvements as necessary
Proactive in recognising potential stock obsolescence and slow moving inventory and providing the necessary feedback
Personal Attributes
3 - 5 years experience in an inventory control/process role. Either in electronics of Electro-mechanical environment
Knowledge of Production Control planning techniques and shop order control would be an advantage
Precise, methodical and a good attention to detail. Proficient in analysing and reporting data using MS Office, Excel, Access etc
Good knowledge of process mapping and documenting accordingly
Familiar with the requirements of handling delicate materials that are environmentally sensitive, chemical detection etc
Self starter, self motivated, capable of working on own initiative, pressurised, committed to delivering results
Either BTEC/CIPS or inventory management qualified. (Dependant on level of experience)
Good communication skills and used to training others.
