Manufacturing manager

Our client a well known bakery and a part of a large group are seeking a manufacturing manager. The ideal candidate will lead, develop and motivate manufacturing teams, focusing on producing our products to specified quality standards and to their customers delight, in a cost efficient manner. Implement long term business strategy by developing and delivering annual improvement plans.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
PEOPLE
Health & Safety
Develop the annual H&S plan for areas of responsibility, setting clear targets and objectives for the teams.
Develop a strong safety culture focusing on behavioural safety.
Ensure all accident investigations take place immediately. Identify and rectify the root causes of all incidents in a timely manner.
Leadership
Assist in the development of the annual business strategy. Determine appropriate objectives for the manufacturing teams ensuring these are communicated and understood.
Ensure that every team member has a clear defined understanding of their role within the team. All individuals need to know how they contribute to achieving business objectives.
Instil a consistent approach between shifts and demonstrate and foster interdepartmental working.
Team Development
Analyse the skills gaps within the department. Develop appropriate training plans ensuring monthly reviews with the Shift Managers.
Ensure all company procedures are applied fairly and consistently.
Review the performance of all key members of the team and regularly set objectives and targets.
Make sure formal and informal communication channels are used effectively focusing on visual impact. This is a great opportunity to join a fast moving bakery! This job is based in Hull!
