Field Engineer

A vacancy has arisen for a Field Engineer, based in Slough, Berkshire.
Your main role will consist of:
> To provide pre-sales and post-sales technical input, skills and support on product range and services.
> To support customers via telephone or remote access and solve any technical problems or escalate as appropriate
> To work as a key member of the Technical Support team.
> To monitor and maintain the companys internal computing and managed services infrastructure
> To provide proactive support to Managed Services customers
You, as a person:
> Excellent technical and customer facing skills
> Fault finding and fault resolution skills
> Proactive fault ownership and progression
> Commercially aware, good literacy and numeracy
> Ability to work independently and flexibly
> Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks
Technical requirements:
> Excellent Microsoft and Citrix skills (MCSE, CCEA accredited)
> Strong problem diagnosis, analytical skills, interpersonal skills
> Windows 2000/2003/NT (Server and Advanced Server)
> Terminal Services
> Active Directory
> Exchange 5.5/2000/2003 & Cluster
> SQL Server
> Citrix Metaframe XPa, XPe
> Citrix MSAM, FUSE, CSG
> Solaris – (to v9)
> Oracle – (to 9i)
> Linux (Suse, RedHat)
> Veritas Data Management Products
> Networking – Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Remote Access, RSA/SecurID Infrastructure
