Commercial Manager – Highways – Winchester
A Commercial Manager is required to create, develop and manage the new commercial function of the Highways and Integrated Transport Divisions of the Transportation Unit.
Duties will include:
Institution, implementation and maintenance of proper commercial systems and processes including risk review.
Provision of commercial input into the preparation and negotiation of tenders, contracts, terms and conditions, sub consultancy agreements, payment valuations, claims, variations and final accounts.
This to apply in particular to:
· consultancy contracts with LA, Government and Developer clients in the UK and Internationally
· consultancy design contracts for Contractors (D&B and ECI)
· Joint Venture arrangements with Contractors
· 3rd party liability (incl public liability) exposure
· other arrangements as may be required
Reporting function to the divisional and unit boards
Formal and practical commercial training for project managers
Minimum of ten years experience in a commercial management capacity is required. Professional qualifications are desirable but not essential. Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment would be an advantage.
