AOCS / GNC Principal Engineer

Job Band 5.
An experienced AOCS analyst/engineer is required to join a
team of AOCS/GNC analysts to work on current and future
spacecraft attitude and orbit control systems. The successful
candidate will become part of an integrated team working on
the AOCS of a large ESA project. This team is responsible for
the design, development and validation of the AOCS and the
associated documentation.
The successful candidate will have a number of years
experience in the field of spacecraft control with direct
participation in the design, development and analysis of
spacecraft AOCS. The candidate will be experienced in the
use of Matlab and Simulink for developing computer models
and for spacecraft attitude control simulations. Experience of
AOCS hardware, FDIR and TM/TC would be desirable but not
essential. They will be expected to provide guidance to less
experienced members of the team and to support AOCS
system design and development.
Qualifications:
-Essential - BSc in a numerate discipline.
-Desirable Higher degree relevant to the space industry.
Experience:
-Essential Several years experience within the space
industry in an AOCS design and analysis capacity.
-Desirable Experience of AOCS software, hardware FDIR
and TM/TC.
Skills:
-Essential:
-Matlab & Simulink.
-General computer literacy, including MS Office.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-The ability to interact comfortably within a team environment.
Desirable:
-Stateflow,
-Real-Time Workshop,
-C or C++ programming.
