Test Development Engineer

The test development role encompasses the multiple functions required to introduce the test solutions for a new product and then focus on improving test cost, while maintaining excellent reliability and time to market execution of new wireless products. The position represents a unique opportunity to support the introduction and subsequent volume ramp up of the company’s leading range of Bluetooth solutions with exposure to RF, analogue, digital and embedded NVM technology in a single CMOS integrated circuit. Our focus is on maximising test efficiency and using new techniques and BIST functions wherever practical.

Main responsibilities include:

Specification and development of test program and test hardware for new products

Test program / test platform optimisation

Adaptation of test program to support variety device/package combinations

Development and integration of BIST routines

Hardware analysis and optimisation

Timely transfer of test responsibilities to production engineering

Engineering support to production engineer

Interface with world-wide wafer foundries and assembly/test subcontractors

Customer/test engineering support

Ideally you will have 3-5 years experience in a high volume, mixed-signal IC test environment. Experience of the following will be an advantage:

Teradyne test equipment, especially J750 and Catalyst
Pattern generation tools, especially TSSI
Probe Card/PIB design
Vertical probe methodologies
RF

Data analysis tools (Datapower)
Test Time Reduction/Program optimisation
Multisite implementation

Correlation
You will have a minimum of a degree in electronics or related subject is required.
