Planner

Our clients are leading homebuilders in the UK and urgently require:

Planner – Salary: Negotiable

Responsibilities:

 Contribute to the preparation of a response to an Invitation to Pre-Qualify, Tender or provide project planning information for the service which the company is undertaking to provide
 Provide a structured approach in the development and management of the project time model and methodology that includes identification of all constraints, risks, health and safety, environmental, customer, 3rd party and supply chain issues for all project phases.
 Contribute to the bid submission documentation, interviews and presentations as required.
 Prepare, implement, monitor and report on project contract programs and schedules as required
 Understand the contractual significance of ensuring that technical and program exceptions to the project requirements are identified and addressed in bid submissions, and provide recommendations for improvements
 Work closely with supply chain and JV partners to support the bid preparation process
 Team management, ensuring site team is working efficiently and effectively as a team, and trouble shooting, continually reviewing systems and communicating issues and learning between sites.
 Team building, and mentor and coach others in use of company planning tools.
 Audit commercial process on site and take appropriate action, and monitor financial reports, forecasts, etc.
Requirements:
 Minimum 8 years experience in working in the construction services sector, with at least 4 years on site in a contracting environment
 Previous tender planning experience desirable
 Excellent numerical and analytical skills
 Understanding of specifications and drawings of construction project
 Capable of site supervision, financial report preparation, and site audit.
 Strong MS Office, presentation, people management and negotiation skills
 Knowledge and experience with Contracts documents.
