Land Manager

Land Manager – Salary Negotiable

Our clients are leading homebuilders in the UK and urgently require:

Responsibilities:

 Proactively identify development opportunities within the region and negotiate their acquisition by seeking solutions to optimize market advantage with the aim of maximizing returns to the company
 Working in conjunction with the regional team and where necessary external consultants to evaluate potential development opportunities.
 Coordinate viability of development opportunities in order to maximize the potential of schemes being appraised and returns to the company
 Negotiations of land purchase, various rights, planning obligations to enable schemes to be desirable
 Manage and monitor the legal process by providing instructions to solicitors and constantly remaining in contact
 Maintain and support reporting systems to enable company goals to be monitored and revised as necessary to achieve financial and development
 Prioritize workloads to meet both internal and external time scales
Requirements
 Qualifications: MRICS, MTPI, MCIOB or relevant experience
 Knowledge and experience with previous building company
 Knowledge of property and land law, planning legislation, financial appraisal and a sound knowledge of technical and sales disciplines
 Self starter with motivational skills to manage subordinate staff
 Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
 Strong numerical and analytical skills, to be able to appraise land value
 Good communication skills (written as well as verbal)
