Design Manager

Our clients are leading homebuilders in the UK and urgently require:

Design Manager - Salary Negotiable


Responsibilities:
 Responsible for providing design management in support for group’s internal and external clients, from inception to final commissioning/financial settlement on projects to time, cost and quality
 Providing added value through technical excellence and risk minimization within the design and construction process, including value engineering analysis.
 Establish the fundamentals of the Project in terms of Quality, Resource, Time and Cost, and deliver customer satisfaction throughout the project process.
 Develop and produce a Project Plan, including management of all Specialist designers, also facilitate and participate in the Project Change Control Process
 Understand the construction process thereby effectively delivering safe and buildable designed solutions
 Set in place IT systems which are appropriate for the project and ensure their project signs up to the system implemented, and ensure the whole team understands and can use the IT system via workshops
Requirements:

 5+ years experience and in-depth knowledge of the multi-discipline design projects & process, construction process and site safety, with up to 2 years experience at a senior level
 Must be a Member or registered with an appropriate Chartered Institution
 Understanding of supply chain management, Form of contract, Health & Safety legislation
 Degree in Construction Related discipline : H Tech, HND, HNC in appropriate Building/Civil Engineering related Discipline
 Good presentation and reporting skills, with ability to interrogate client’s brief.
 Competence with MS-office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, etc)
