Managing Surveyor

Managing Surveyor – Salary: Negotiable

Our clients are leading homebuilders in the UK and urgently require:

Responsibilities:

 Mitigating and managing of commercial risk and maximizing commercial gain
 Supervises site based quantity surveyors
 Work closely with Contracts managers, Regional planner, Estimators, Project managers, clients, professional team, sub-contractors, as maybe necessary
 To assist and support the Regional Commercial Manager in the management of the QS function in the region and for providing advice and supplementary resource to site based QS’s. Ensure that company policies and procedures are being adhered to.
 Team management, ensuring site team is working efficiently and effectively as a team, and trouble shooting, continually reviewing systems and communicating issues and learning between sites.
 Claims management, recognizing where claims could arise and implementing proactive steps to avoid claims situations. Ensuring site is maintaining the required level of records and assist site in the preparation documentation and its timely submission.
 Audit commercial process on site and take appropriate action, and monitor financial reports, forecasts, etc.
 Checking contract documentation and subcontract documentation, coordinating execution of warranties, establishing contractual relationships with the design team etc

Requirements:
 Experience in working in a supervisory capacity for a building service contractor
 Qualified for equipment safety awareness and risk management training
 Capable of site supervision, financial report preparation, and site audit.
 Strong presentation, people management and negotiation skills
 Knowledge and experience with Contracts documents.
