Commercial Manager/Managing Surveyor –

Our clients are leading homebuilders in the UK and urgently require:
Responsibilities:
Effectively manage the commercial resources of a project throughout the project lifecycle
Encourage ‘best practice’ and ‘continuous improvement’ in the planning, provision and monitoring of commercial support and assurance to the Project Manager/the project delivery team.
Continuously work with Supply chain to promote and measure improvements in profitability, costs, quality, and learning of all parties and drive out unnecessary costs and inefficient activities
Maximize cash flows through timely preparation and submission of documents
Financial forecasting
Fairly allocating risks and rewards
Work closely with divisional teams and service departments to form a comprehensive plan for securing new opportunities and maximizing the life of secured projects and customer base.
Actively take part in negotiations with internal and external customers, consultants and other personnel with a view to ‘win-win’ outcome
Ensure project teams have a good understanding and focus
Requirements
Qualifications: MRICS, FRICS, MCIOB, FCIOB or relevant experience
Quantity surveying experiences in building services background would be ideal.
Knowledge and experience in:
Project Valuation; Cost Value Analysis; Reporting; Cost Control; Cash Flow, Risk Management, Corporate Governance, Main Contract Issues, Forms of Contract, Applications for Payment, Project Change Control, Supply Chain, Sub-contract and Consultant Procurement, Sub-contract Administration, Claims Management, Business Planning, Pre-contract Management, Project Commercial Start-up, Insurance, Project Commercial Close Out
Self starter with motivational skills to manage subordinate staff
Experience with business risks in projects, risk management, contingencies, and risk registers to minimize risks
Knowledge in legalities with contract and construction
High levels of Business acumen, especially with good understanding of construction techniques
Strong interpersonal skills to be a part of the project delivery team
