Job Description:
We are currently looking to recruit a Laboratory Technician based from Great Yarmouth. You should be self-motivated, able to work individually or as part of a team. You should be prepared to work on a rotational call out basis to cover out of hours, or weekend needs. Candidates must also be capable of meeting offshore medical requirements and be willing to work occasional offshore trips, where projects will be requiring the role of cement QA/QC. JOB SPEC * Perform laboratory tests following prescribed procedures. * Learn to document test data for reporting purposes * Conduct non-standard testing * Formulate and test cementing fluids * Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment * Maintain files & documentation related to test equipment and test results of equipment * Become familiar with the chemical hygiene plan and the current HSE laboratory safety standards * Incorporate reliability, HSE, Quality analysis,nd project management techniques in all job processes. PERSON SPEC * School lever knowledge in science subjects * Basic computer skills * Prev. laboratory exp. may be beneficial although full training will be provided * Practically minded with some mechanical ability * Able to work on own initiative or as part of a small team * Be prepared to work flexible hours, on call and overtime as and when required * Offshore ocassional trips This position is of a permanent nature and we require an immediate start after initial interview process.
