Start Overview of the Company A successful, medium sized company with a turnover of approximately £ 5 million per annum. They have been trading for over twenty years and are financially secure. Their main area of work is commercial fitouts - partitioning, electrics, air conditioning etc. They have a well established client base and provide a professional service in order to retain these clients. They carry out all types of work for their clients from very small works to major refurbishment works/relocations. As part of the further development of the business they wish to carry out air conditioning works from within the business. At the present time all this work is sub-contracted. Position Description Location: Middlesex Contracts generally in London and the South East. Hours of Work Monday to Friday 9.00 am - 5.00 pm plus extra hours, as necessary, to supervise and complete contracts Basic Function To establish and develop an air conditioning business. To service existing clients for their air conditioning requirements. To initiate sales work to procure new clients and contracts. This may include mailout follow ups. To price and quote for works. This may include design work. To organise the necessary permissions for work(Landlord, Local Authority, Fire Officer etc) To arrange and co-ordinate necessary labour, materials etc. to carry out the contract. To manage contracts efficiently and cost effectively and liaise with client all the way through to completion. To make sure that all work is completed in a professional and timely manner and that all work is finished to a high standard of workmanship. To arrange invoicing for completed works and ensure that the client is satisfied with the work and therefore pays in a timely manner. Personal/Professional The successful candidate needs to be self motivated and have a working knowledge of most aspects of the air conditioning business and a proven track record in this industry. You would be able to bring clients with you as well as procure new clients. You would also need to have a pool of professional subcontractors that you know and can use to carry out their work. Salary: Competitive salary and company car (business and personal fuel paid) plus bonus, subject to performance. The company ethos is to reward effort and hard work and they therefore operate a bonus scheme based on individual performance. Each Fee Earner/Contracts Manager has an annual profit target and bonus is paid on the amount of profit in excess of this target. This bonus figure is not capped.
