Managment Accountant

Main Purpose

Reporting to the Acting Finance Director/Finance Manager, the post holder is responsible for fulfilling the key result areas/principle accountabilities as detailed below.

The main purpose of the role is to produce Management Accounts (on a weekly basis) and working closely with the Financial Accountant for all companies ensuring compliance and integrity.

The post holder is responsible for managing the Accounts function for the production on the Company’s financial and management accounts.


2. Key Result Areas/Principle Accountabilities

Weekly production of the Finance Pack to Senior Managers/Directors
The update and development of Key Performance Indicators
To produce, collate information and deliver the Company’s Management and Financial Accounts
To prepare and deliver Year-End Returns
To conduct reviews with departmental managers and involvement in the budget production and forecasts
Project Evaluations
Bank reconciliation involvement
Fixed Assets and HP Creditors Register maintenance and update
Liaison with external parties and internal parties as necessary
Conduct internal meetings as required and briefings to directors/managers as necessary
Ad hoc project work/any other duties as directed by the Acting Finance Director/Finance Manager.
Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Returns with regards to National Statistics/ DTI as required.
Involvement with other reports and the production of information for taxation purposes (i.e. VAT, CIS etc)
Follow the requirements as stipulated by Company Standards Safety Case and Assurance case, where applicable.
Maintain good housekeeping and strictly adhere to the Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies.
