contingency planner

- assist in the development of all our plans and make quarterly checks and updates of the Plans
- undertake Staff briefings on Plan implementation
- monitor Plan effectiveness by debriefing staff involved in its implementation
- continually review existing and new risks to the resilience of the Plan
- establish emergency planning operational interfaces with all local authorities
- generally ensure that our Plans are maintained in a state of readiness suited to prevailing circumstances
Qualifications needed
We seek the following experience and qualifications:
- membership of an appropriate professional institution or significant relevant experience
- experience of devising operational procedures and implementing them
- experience of risk assessments
- preferably, experience of emergency planning
- preferably, an understanding of highways and traffic
It is unlikely that someone with less than 5-10 years professional experience will have the breadth of understanding to fulfil the role satisfactorily.
