PRINCIPLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER - Ref. 2529

PRINCIPAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Responsible for the Electrical System design of spacecraft/ platforms and performance verification

• Lead a small team of electrical engineers

• Establish and control Telemetry and Command Data Bases.

• Understand EMC issues and Harness requirements and definition (Generation of ICD s)

• Integrate with the spacecraft project team

• Produce documentation and participate in key reviews.

• Understand requirements to generate specifications, Integration and Tests

• Interface with the customer.

• Work to ISO 9001 and knowledge of IEEE parts.

• Support all phases of Studies and Projects.

• Manage subcontractors and suppliers.

• Travel overseas to work for short periods

EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Essential

• Degree or HND/HNC in an Electrical and Electronic Engineering with minimum experience of 5 years in the Space industry Electrical system design and implementation .

• Knowledge of Analogue, Digital and RF systems Equipment development and procurement.

• Knowledge of spacecraft TTC ,Power, and Data Handling subsystems.

• Computer literate, have clear report writing and presentation skills

• Highly motivated and possess good problem solving skills

Desirable

• Able to travel overseas to work for short periods.

• Knowledge of On-Board software and Spacecraft Operations.
