Addictions Social Worker for Tyne & Wear Private Organisation

Social Work qualification essential (DipSW, Degree in Social Work, Masters in Social Work, CQSW, CCETSW or other GSCC recognised qualification). Experience working in the addictions field is essential (minimum of 6 months in either statutory or non statutory services). Carrying a small caseload of clients within a rehabilitation programme, providing leadership and supervision for a team of 4, group based therapy and liaison with care managers working on a client centred approach. Clients are mainly alcohol misusers with some stimulant and opiate users. This permanent post offers the opportunity to be at the beginning of an expansion programme where you have the ability to make a notable and real difference through your ideas and suggestions.
