A world-class engineering, development and management consultancy has a number of vacancies for confident and enthusiastic information, communication and broadcast media professionals to join our team. Working within a rapidly expanding division of the company, you will be responsible for the delivery of major projects to our UK and international clients.
In addition to core technical competences candidates will have good interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates will be self-motivated and able to work independently or within a team, taking full responsibility for their own work.
To apply for these positions a degree is essential, although a further qualification is desirable. Alternatively applications are welcome from candidates who have obtained full chartered membership of a relevant professional institution.
We are looking for several candidates with a cross-section of experience to cover data communications, voice communications and network systems.
Senior Communications Consultants 10 years experience
Candidates are sought which have good technical experience within corporate and telecommunications businesses. Candidates must be articulate, and have the commercial understanding to apply technical solutions to business problems, aligned with the confidence to present these to a variety of audiences.
Concept development, feasibility studies, technical design, tender management, infrastructure deployment, site inspection, audit, supervision and operational support are all invaluable skills which we can provide to our clients, and consequently we also look for these in candidates.
Specific experience of procuring complex IT and Communications solutions, involving high values of equipment and services from Tier 1 suppliers, and the associated contract development and negotiation, is very desirable.
You will have good technical experience gained within the communications business either within a manufacturer, system integrator or user. Your skills should include one or more of the following areas:
Data Communications
Internet, LANs, WANs, TCP/IP, routing protocols, multi-service technologies & services, security technologies, broadband & remote access technologies and services, web & application aware networks.
Voice Communications
PBXs, Call centre systems, Desktop telephony, Voice over IP, IVNs, voice communications services.
Network Systems
Server Platforms, Server OS (Linux, Windows2000, Windows XP), email systems (MS Exchange etc.), application gateways & proxy servers, application and network security, networked office automation services.
