Sector, but has only recently created a specific specialist team.
Working closely with relevant sector developers and Product Group Directors, you will play a key role in the development of this group, marketing,
relationship building and undertaking opportunity creation activities.
In addition you will support proposal, selling activities and product development plans with other Client groups such as our Waste, Water and
Contaminated Land, Industry and Environment, Health & Safety teams; direct or manage nuclear consultancy assignments and provide technical input into other projects.
First Degree BEng Relevant subject
Focus Project Management; Project Delivery; Project Direction;
Technical Direction; Product/Service Development; Sector/Business Development.
Experience 10 years minimum consultancy or industry experience including major account responsibility, sales and business development and
project direction. As an experienced Nuclear Engineer you will need a detailed knowledge of the impacts of Radiological Protection and Radioactive
Waste Management Issues on Engineering Projects within the sector. You will need to demonstrate the ability to train and develop junior staff to deliver
Engineering Consultancy to Nuclear Sector Clients; the ability to integrate new Engineering Products into the clients portfolio of Nuclear Products and
throughout the business and a detailed understanding of the business drivers in the Nuclear Sector. Evidence of the ability to communicate and operate at company board level; commercial, negotiation and selling skills;
creative business development and account management are required. You will also
need to demonstrate that you are a clear thinker; have an effective understanding of the Nuclear Sector - the market, client aspirations and how to
deliver success; the ability to provide practical solutions to help clients progress
compliance within major projects; strong project direction and management skills and an understanding of financial management, accounting and P&L interpretation.

Our client is the leading provider of engineering design services to the nuclear industry which is currently focussed on nuclear decommissioning. From April 2005, a new government body, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), will oversee the management of public sector civil nuclear liabilities. This change is placing greater emphasis on the need for project and programme control services. Our client are supporting project managers and operating units to deliver projects to time and budget. They are now looking to recruit Design / Project Managers. Suitable candidates will be responsible for the delivery of all their project design services. You will be familiar with all aspects of Design, – planning, estimating, change management, progress measurement, cost management, risk management and reporting. You will also be responsible for managing in-house and contractor support as required. Ideally you will have at least five years’ experience on large engineering projects, hold a professional qualification and will have a strong technical engineering background. Candidates must be self motivated, energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to interface with their client, understand their requirements and deliver the service accurately and to agreed timescale. Contract and Permanent positions are available.
