The National Blood Service is an integral and vital part of the NHS. Our two million volunteer donors contribute 2.5 million units of blood every year which helps to save lives every day. We supply blood and blood products to each of the 385 hospitals in England from one of our 14 Blood Centres. You will be responsible for organising Donor recruitment and retention within a defined geographical area. You will work with a Marketing Assistant to co-ordinate public and multi-firm Donor sessions, and as you plan and develop sessions, you will be helping ensure that collection targets are met.
Ideally with one year’s marketing experience, preferably including event management, you will be a highly numerate analyst who can communicate and present persuasively. With evidence of a good standard of general education preferably in a relevant discipline you will be approachable, tactful and comfortable directing the work of others and possess a full UK driving licence.
