SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Position Summary:
Senior engineer in a rapidly growing and respected consultancy whose business includes giving specialist advice on civil and mechanical engineering structures, especially potential blast damage assessments, subsequent upgrades/retrofits and overall structural design to major industrial, military and civilian clients.

To be able to provide advice and expertise to a wide range of clients in this area and also to advise the consultancy on diverse and challenging engineering and scientific problems.

Key Accountabilities:
Design, assessment and quantitative analysis of the effects of transient events such as, but not limited to: blast, shock, vibration and impact, on a variety of civil and mechanical structures.

Liaison with clients regarding their requirements and projects; and manage project deliverables to time and budget targets.

To manage, assess, deliver and monitor projects, and be responsible for handling the technical aspects of a range of structural engineering projects including; blast, impact, seismic, impact, security issues and physical testing.

Interpretation of advanced computational analysis of experimental results and specialist studies.

Evaluation of client's structures, their suitability for use and provide advice on either
upgrading, retrofitting or new designs to meet its suitability for use.

Represent the company in technical meetings with clients and 3rd parties, as well as scope consultancy projects and prepare commercial proposals.

Coordinate ongoing and new research programmes; provide advice and guidance to other members of staff, sub-consultants and contractors alike.

Apply all company assurance procedures and quality management processes.
