Assisted Living Manager/ Coordinator

Are you a natural leader who can stimulate both residents and staff? Can you remain calm, caring yet professional when the pressure is on to deliver results? My client is seeking a motivational and inspirational manager to serve residents in our luxurious and spacious surroundings, providing the highest level of personal care. You will be part of a management team and be working closely with 2 other Registered Managers to achieve success within this new large service.

You must competent with completing assessments, individual care plans as well as being able to offer the personal touch which makes all the difference with residents within this company. Working in a bran new luxurious environment you will be required to lead a large team of staff working closely with the Wellness Service and Reminiscence Manager providing real person centred care to the residents who may require different levels of care. The ability to motivate, engage and exercise leadership throughout the team with an open communication style will also be key to your success in this role as will the ability to communicate with ease to family members regarding the care of their loved ones.

A Registered Nurse, NVQ Level 4 and RMA qualified with excellent working knowledge of the Care Standards Act 2000 and related legislation is essential. Experience in long term care, assisted living, hospital industry or experience with the Elderly care is ideal but full training will be provided.

This position is newly created for this bran new service opening in Jan 2009. This is a fantastic opportunity with the role becoming vacant August/ September 2008. A great opportunity for someone looking for their first management role or for an experienced candidate to really stamp their mark in management.
