Change Manager

As a Change Manager for this highly successful SAP and System integration company you will be responsible for coordinating and directing all changes to the production SAP environments. You will work closely with the SAP implementation teams to ensure a smooth transition of new releases from the Development to the Production environment

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the change/release management process. This will include scheduling, managing change/release risks as well as developing detailed change/release plans. In detail your responsibilities will cover -

- Defining release milestone dates and detailed release schedules (which includes all defined projects in the release).

- Define detailed release implementation and deployment plans.

- Risk assessment
- Manage issues related to a release (includes tracking, prioritization, and escalation).

- Coordinate smooth deployment of the release by working with all levels in the Development and Production teams.

- Facilitate Go/No-Go decision forums as release milestones approach.

- Prepare the business and support teams for the release/change implementation through effective and timely communication

- Report status to the management teams.

- Monitor change management process for compliance.

You will possess the following skills and experience -

An impressive track record in change/release management (SAP experience preferred)

Experience with one or more of the standard SW revision control, configuration control systems.

Certification and/or experience in ITIL Change and Release Management processes

Strong knowledge of the full Software Development Lifecycle.

Solid leadership and project management skills

Excellent negotiation, process/analytical, organizational, customer service and communication skills.

Strong drive and bias for action, as well as excellent time management and anticipatory skills.

Adaptable and responsive to change.

The position will be based in Hemel Hempstead and will involve around 10% of your time in travel. Remuneration for the role is excellent with salary in the range of £50,000 to £60,000. Benefits, allowances and a non-contributory pension will boost this boost this by another £10,000 to £13,000.
