Financial Controller

Financial Controller – Shaftesbury
£40K - £50K basic plus car allowance and excellent benefits package

Our client, a large food manufacturer is looking to recruit a Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

• To add value to the business through production of relevant, timely and accurate
financial reports and the development of effective decision support systems.
• To ensure that financial control systems are effectively maintained.
• Develop the business side of the Financial role.
• Prepare annual budgets & monthly re-indications.
• Provide insight into future trading to Senior Management.
• To lead and motivate the Accounts Team.
• To ensure the production of timely and accurate product costings.
• Promote and aid the direct use of Lawson and other systems by non-finance users.
• Oversee the running of the accounts payable function, liaising with suppliers and head office.
• Provide senior management with detailed analysis Trading Profitability and Overhead spend.
• Assess the impact of new launches and de-lists on company profitability.

Essential Skills and experiences

• Presentation experience, ability to present at Senior level
• Experienced in all Accounting functions
• General knowledge of financial regulations.
• Good knowledge of current working procedures
• Previous experience gained in a similar accounts role.
• A sound commercial awareness of pricing and promotional activity
• A working knowledge of ERP systems (Lawson).
• Man Management Skills
• Minimum CIMA Intermediate or equivalent qualification
