The Roll
>Maintain & improve incoming quality through quality control – goods inwards &/or sample inspection & approval of new product or product from new supplier(s), ensuring that non-conforming product is clearly identified, logged & corrective & preventive actions identified & progressed with relevant parties through to a suitable & robust solution.

>Contact with suppliers to review & agree quality standards & to resolve/clarify any product drawing or manufacturing related difficulties.

>Contact should include supplier audits as part of a supplier approval/development program or as a result of a specific quality related problem.

>Maintain & improve outgoing quality control function of in-process & final inspection (where appropriate) & product & process auditing as well as daily review & follow-up of any quality related issues with positive & robust solutions.

>Maintain & improve customer satisfaction by supporting the operations department in achieving on-time delivery, quality improvement, cost reduction & new product introduction projects as well as the timely processing & responding to customer complaints with the identification of probable cause & the establishing of positive & robust corrective & preventive actions.

>Support the quality manager with the ongoing monitoring (internal auditing) & development & continuous of the quality management system, establishing meaningful & appropriate quality metrics to measure performance & to provide the benchmark for ongoing improvement projects.

>Support the quality manager in controlling major projects with respect to quality documentation, certification, inspection & to interface with customer representatives.

>Support the manufacturing department with scrap and rework monitoring, providing assistance technical support, quality control etc. for the identification & resolution of quality related issues.

>Support “operational excellence” projects, Kaizen events etc.

>Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, both in-works, with customers & suppliers

>Ability to use sophisticated measuring equipment & non-destructive test equipment
