Civil Design Co-Ordinator

The Roll

To ensure the effective coordination of the civil design, by others, with the electrcial and mechanical design.
To coordinate and check the effects of design changes in respect to drawings, documents and calculations.
The coordination of the civil engineering substructure design with the electrical and mechanical deisgn and the requirements for cable ducts, cable trenches and electrical penetrations.
The coordination of the construction of foundations with the installation of equipment and equipment support structures.
Coordination of cast-in fixings/holding down bolts based on the requirements of the civil, electrical and mechanical design.
The coordination of Air Insulated Switchgear and Gas Insulated Bus supports with building, foundation and building penetrations.
The coordination of building envelopes with the clearance requirements for electrcial saftey and equipment access/installation within my clients scope.
To advise managers and staff on all civil and structure engineering matters as required.
To ensure drawings, documents and design comply with required specification, code and standard.
To attend civil coordination mettings with our civil design partner/civil construction partner and detailed design subcontractors in Croydon or external offices as required.
The Candidate

Civil/Electrical/Mechanical engineering technician with AIS & GIS substation experience preferably within the UK. Good knowledge of AutoCad 2007

Salary up to £33,000, Pension 12%, Private Medical Cover, PHI Life Assurance, Overtime, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 37 hours per week, plus overtime paid
