The Roll


To manage the field-based engineers in the South of England area and provide client and contractor lisison, to ensure that the team delivers against the installation and service programmes in line with Client and Company expectations.

Liase with the client and other contractors to co-ordinate the programme of work to meet client objectives while protecting the Company position.
Whilst aiming for zero technical issues, ensure that "snagging" is given a high priority and that the client provide details in a timely manner so that fault rectification can be undertaken at time of commissioning or while working close by and still site access.
Represent the Company at regular programme meetings.
Act as the local contact for both the client and other contractors regarding site specific and general programme queries, liaising with Head Office to ensure all queries are answered in a timely manner.
Document all work carried out (including H&S) and any issues in a weekly report sent to Head Office for incorporation in a detailed weekly and monthly report for the client.
Deal with any issues that occur on site or in relation to the programme, liaising with Head Office and the client as necessary.
Install equipment on client sites in line with the installation programme provided.
Ensure installations are to the standard expected by the Company and Client.
Service and mainain equipment on client sites in line with the service programme.
Ensure any problems that arise during maintenance are either rectified or if necessary reported to Head Office.
Investigate site problems in response to customer queries.
Visit client sites to test and commission systems.
Ensure all installation, service.maintenance and commissioning paperwork is completed by the teams to the required Company standard and return to Head Office on a weekly basis.
Copy all paperwork and file by site for reference prior to posting to Head Office.
The Candidate

The role will include installation, service/maintenance and commissioning of equipment.
The successful applicant should be prepared to work away from home as required during the week.
The role is physically demanding and requires some working outdoors.
Candidates should have experience in electrical or security system installation and system level fault analysis.
They should also have a relevant technical qualification and full clean driving license (minor points accepted.)
Candidates must have the ability to differentiate between colours and to undergo security vetting.
Strong communications skills and a flexible attitude are important.
