Blood Borne Virus Worker

Experience working with substance misuse clients is essential. A professional qualification (eg. RGN, RMN, QSW) is a benefit. Previous experience as a BBV worker would be a benefit. Knowledge of blood samples would also be a benefit. A car driver would be a benefit.

A West Midlands service requires a drugs worker to manage a caseload of clients with BBV’s, including HIV and Hepatitis A, B, C. The role will involve taking blood samples and testing for BBV’s. The role will also involve key working clients and some outreach work. Previous experience in outreach work would be a benefit but the post would offer a good opportunity to gain this experience.
