Purchasing Manager

As the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for:
Annual buying of raw material spares and consumables for steel melt shop and rolling mill.
To find low cost suppliers around the world.
Buying of capital items and expansion projects. Leading team of procurement department.
Developing competent team of purchasing department.
Developing alternate sources and supplier database of all major consumables and spare items.
Preparation of annual budget and procurement plan.
To lead warehouse and stores department.
To develop and implement control systems for slow moving and non-moving spares.
To develop inventory control for store and warehouse.
To implement SAP systems for total Procurement Management.
Selecting new suppliers and negotiating commercial agreements.
Implement ideas to improve the supply chain / purchasing function.
Maintaining relationships and manage negotiations with suppliers.
Managing cost effective supply of product.
Ensuring products meet quality requirements and delivery lead times.

Applicants will have a graduate degree in relevant subject. Must be able to work on multi projects and to challenging deadlines, with the ability to work effectively with others.
As Purchasing Manager you will have well developed information technology skills, and a thorough knowledge of the legal and practical principles governing this type of work.

Ideally you will have worked in the Metal Industry before.
