Logistics Engineer- Brussels

This is an contract position initially for 2 years.

The Candidate will be seconded to join our Client's Engineering Group (Europe Middle East & Asia Logistic Engineering Group) located in Brussels.The Client is one of the largest FMCG Company in the world. The Engineering Group is constantly upgrading/ optimising Order Picking Technology as well as implementing break through ideas in many of the facilities around the world.The Group is also responsible for planning and implementing new Distribution Centers in Europe and Asia.

Logistics Engineering role is a balance of both technical skill and Project Management. The Engineer will analyse existing Distribution Center Operations, suggest improvements and if approved,implement the same. The Engineer must have the ability to work seamlessly with external suppliers, internal and external Distribution Centre operations, IT, Finance and Project Management groups to be able to deliver completed projects. It is vital that the Engineer will be able to work across culture and different time zone.

The position would suit Engineer with a degree in Engineering+ Post Graduate qualification in Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Operational Research

Travel requirement 20 to 30 % mostly in Europe.
