Drugs Worker

Experience working with substance misuse clients is essential. Previous work experience in a needle exchange or prescribing clinic would be a benefit.

A local service requires an experienced substance misuse practitioner to work in a needle exchange. The role will involve key working clients and offering harm minimisation and safer injecting advice. Clients are primarily opiate users although the successful candidate will also be expected to key work clients who have alternative or poly-drug dependency. The contract may be extended beyond the initial duration.
